You guys are going to love these garlic buttery shrimp! I made them on my electric Tefal OptiGrill, which made cooking them so quick and simple. But honestly, any electric grill or regular grill would work great, and if you don’t have a grill, a regular pan on the stove will give you fantastic results too.
They turned out perfectly tender, bursting with a fantastic garlicky butter flavour, and have that perfect little char from the grill. I served them up with a fresh salad on the side to complete the meal.
Ingredients: (for 2 portions)
- 600 g shrimp (after cleaning and peeling)
- 60 g butter
- a few sprigs of parsley
- salt + pepper
- 1 small head of garlic

Preparation:
Wash and peel the shrimp. Put them in a bowl. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Wash the parsley and chop it finely. Melt the butter for ~30 seconds in the microwave. Put everything in a bowl with salt and pepper and mix well.
Let it rest for ~10 minutes.

With the electric grill set to the “seafood” program, I cooked the shrimp for only a few minutes until they were perfectly browned, then removed them from the grill.
If you’re using a pan, aim for the same result: cook them over medium-high heat for a few minutes until they achieve a rich, golden-pink colour and are fully cooked.

Once cooked, I moved the shrimp to a plate and served them with a simple and fresh salad that I quickly put together from what I had in the fridge, while the shrimp cooked.
