Pizza with leek, salami, and mozzarella

This pizza is a delightful twist on a classic favorite, combining creamy melted mozzarella, savory slices of salami, and the subtle sweetness of sautéed leek. Baked to golden perfection on a crisp yet tender crust, every bite delivers a perfect balance of richness and freshness. The leek adds a unique, gourmet touch that pairs beautifully with the bold flavor of salami and the creaminess of mozzarella. Ideal for a casual dinner, a weekend treat, or impressing guests with something just a little different.

Comfort food with a refined twist.

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen or fresh pizza crust
  • 3–4 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • approx. 100 g mozzarella
  • approx. 100 g salami
  • cherry tomatoes
  • 1 leek stalk
  • fresh basil
  • black pepper

If you prefer to make your own dough, you can prepare a simple pizza dough using 500 g flour, 300 ml warm water, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons olive oil, and 1 packet of dry yeast.

Mix the flour with the salt and yeast in a bowl. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until you get a smooth, slightly sticky dough. Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover it, and let it rise until it doubles in size. Once risen, place it on a floured surface, roll it out with a rolling pin, and use it as desired for your pizza base.

Preparation:
Thaw the dough, then roll it out on a flat surface into your desired shape using a rolling pin. Carefully transfer the rolled dough onto a baking tray using the rolling pin. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, then distribute the sliced leeks in rounds evenly across the surface. Next, add the slices of salami, followed by the mozzarella cut into slices, and halve the cherry tomatoes, spreading them evenly as well. Season with black pepper.

Bake in a preheated oven at 150–160°C (300–320°F) for about 15–18 minutes. For the last 2 minutes, switch the oven to top heat only to give the pizza a nice finish. Remove from the oven, slice, and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
