You know those meals that feel fancy but take zero effort? This is one of them. I’m talking about tortellini with pesto and cheese – aka a green, cheesy hug in a bowl.
Pesto is one of my all-time favorites, so anytime I get the chance to sneak it into a dish, I don’t even hesitate. And this recipe? It’s basically a love letter to pesto lovers everywhere.
The best part? You only need 4 ingredients. Yep, just four! It’s the kind of meal you can whip up when you’re hungry, lazy, or somewhere in between (no judgment here). In just a few steps, you’ve got a rich, creamy, flavor-packed lunch or dinner on the table – no fuss, no stress, all yum.
It’s vegetarian, it’s comforting, it’s got melty cheese and herby goodness… what more could you possibly want? 💚
Ingredients: (for 4 servings)
- 500 g tortellini (I had spinach and ricotta – you can use whichever version you like best)
- 150 g pesto sauce (I had store-bought, you can make it yourself if you want )
- 150 g grana padano cheese or grated parmesan + extra for serving
- salt + pepper
- a few fresh basil leaves

Preparation:
Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions. Once they’re done, drain them in a colander, give them a quick rinse under cold water, and let them drain thoroughly. In a large bowl, toss the pasta with the pesto sauce and 150g of cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix everything together gently with a spatula until well combined.

Transfer everything to a bowl, and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Super easy, incredibly tasty, and ready in no time! 🙂 Serve with an extra sprinkle of cheese on top for that perfect finishing touch.

If you try the recipe, let me know how you liked it! 😊
