Ingredients:
For the batter:
- 6 eggs
- 100 g melted butter
- 150 g sugar
- 100 ml warm milk
- 200 g melted dark chocolate (used in two batches of 100 g each)
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 2–3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 100–130 g cream cheese
- 200 g flour
For decoration:
- Chocolate (I used white, milk, and dark)
- Sugar decorations
- Skewers or special cake pop sticks

Preparation:
Beat the eggs and sugar on medium speed for about 5 minutes, until the mixture becomes light and doubles in volume. Add the baking powder, cocoa powder, and flour, then continue mixing until everything is fully incorporated.

Next, fold in 100 g of melted chocolate using a spatula. Pour the batter into a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Once the cake is done, take it out of the oven and let it cool completely. After it has cooled, crumble it into fine crumbs using your hands. In a large bowl, combine the cake crumbs with the remaining 100 g of melted chocolate and the cream cheese. Mix and knead everything together until you get a smooth, compact mixture with all the ingredients evenly combined.

Shape medium-sized balls with your hands, and once they’re all formed, place them in the freezer for 15 minutes to firm up.
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate. Insert half a skewer or cake pop stick into each chilled ball, then dip it into the melted chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off: if needed, gently roll the pop along the edge of the bowl to remove any extra. Finish by rolling the cake pop in your choice of sugar decorations.

Place the cake pops on a plate with the skewers facing upward, and refrigerate them for 30 minutes to an hour, until they’re fully chilled and firm to the touch.
