Blueberry clafoutis

Say hello to the blueberry clafoutis! It’s the perfect mix of delicious, aromatic, and summery vibes, all in one easy-to-make dish. Think of it as a fancy, rustic cousin to the classic fruit pie, but without all the fuss.

This dessert is as simple as throwing some juicy blueberries into a batter, popping it in the oven, and letting the magic happen. The result? A warm, custardy treat that’s just sweet enough, with the right touch of berry goodness. It’s practically a party in your mouth, and did I mention it’s super easy to make? You’ll impress your friends, family, or just yourself, without breaking a sweat.

Serve it warm with a little dusting of powdered sugar, or have it straight up as is. Either way, you’ll be savoring every bite of summer in this perfect dessert!

Ingredients:

  • 400-500 g blueberries (you can also use cherries, sour cherries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc.)
  • 30 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2-3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g flour + 2 tablespoons for dusting the pan
  • 200 ml milk
  • Powdered vanilla sugar for dusting on top at the end

Preparation:

Rinse the blueberries and set them aside to drain. Prepare a baking dish (mine is about 30×20 cm), grease it with the melted butter, and lightly dust it with flour. Then, evenly spread the washed and drained blueberries in the dish.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer until the sugar has fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Add the flour and vanilla extract, then mix again until everything is well combined. Finally, pour in the milk and stir until the batter reaches a consistency similar to pancake batter.

Pour the batter over the blueberries.

Bake in the preheated oven for around 50 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Once baked, remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and finish by dusting with powdered sugar.
